Steensma Soft Bulbs Mix 1kg
Soft bulbs from the shop are already delicious, but how fun and tasty is it to make them yourself! With this mix from the Steensma brand, it is super easy to make your own soft buns, just add yeast and water. Let the delicious smell of soft buns come out of your oven!
Recipe for 15 soft buns
500g mix for soft buns, 10g dried yeast, 250ml water.
Procedure
1. Put all ingredients in a mixing bowl and knead the dough with dough hooks for five minutes on the lowest setting. Then turn the mixer to the middle setting and mix for another eight minutes. It should be possible to make a nice membrane out of the dough. The desired dough temperature is 26°C.
2. Cover the dough with plastic wrap or a slightly damp cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
3. Weigh the dough into 50g pieces, each.
4. With your hands, form nice round balls from the pieces of dough.
5. Brush the balls with egg, to create a nice glossy layer on the balls.
6. Let the buns rise in a warm, humid place for 60-70 minutes.
7. Preheat the convection oven to 250°C.
8. Reduce the oven temperature to 240°C and bake the buns until golden brown in 8-9 minutes.
