Steensma Limburgse Vlaaimix 1kg
Make a delicious Limburg flan with Steensma's flan mix. A flan usually consists of a round base of dough, which is flat with open edges. The pie filling can be very different, like gooseberries, cherries, plums, apples or apricots. You can also fill the pie with compote, applesauce, pudding or rice pudding. What will you fill your delicious flan with?
Recipe appropriate for één Limburg vlaai
330g mix for Limburg vlaai, 10g dry yeast, 135ml water.
Procedure
1. Put the mix for Limburg vlaai, together with the yeast and water in a bowl and mix until smooth and then knead for 10 minutes.
2. Cover the dough with a clean, damp cloth and let it rise for 30 minutes.
3. Preheat the convection oven to 210°C.
4. Grease a flan pan of Ø28 cm well with butter or with Brand New Cake baking spray.
5. Roll out the dough thinly and line the flan mould with it.
6. Spread the filling of your choice on top of the dough.
7. If you have leftover dough, you can make long strips of it and lay a nice pattern on top of the filling.
8. Bake for about 25 minutes until the flan is golden brown and cooked in the oven.
