All cake plates are flat on the top and have attachment points on the bottom where the pillars can be attached. Because the cake plates of the DIY stands work with the same system, you can create different setups time and time again. This way, you can make a tiered cake consisting of three layers one time, four layers another time, and use a cake plate to present a single cake another time, for example.
