You can distinguish the product into two variants: the rolled variant and the modelling variant. You use rolled fondant to cover pies and pastries. Create your own variations

Fondant is made by cooking glucose and sugar. This creates a kneadable mass. You can easily shape it. Would you like to make variations with the fondant? Fondant or marzipan: what's the difference?

It's often a personal choice to choose between fondant or marzipan. Both products are suitable for decorating cupcakes or pies. Compared to fondant, marzipan is slightly greasier. This is due to the almond in the product. Therefore, the product is slightly stiffer to work with, while fondant is slightly smoother. Another difference is that fondant without dye is truly white. Do you want to mix with dyes? Then fondant is better to use.

Getting started with fondant

Before you start working with the product, you need to knead it well first. Many people choose to preheat it in the microwave for a short time. This makes it easier to knead. If you're working with the rolled variant, you can roll out the fondant with a roller.

Storing the product

To prevent it from hardening, we recommend storing it airtight. Wrap the product in foil and then store it in a container. It is not necessary to store it in the refrigerator, but always store it in a dry and cool place.
