Steensma Farmers' Cake Mix 1kg
Not mega special, but incredibly delicious! This mix from the Steensma brand makes a delicious airy cake suitable for any sweet tooth. The ingredients for a farmers' cake do not differ that much from the basic cake recipe, but sometimes the proportions and/or preparation are slightly different. Bring on a delicious slice of old-fashioned farmer's cake!

Recipe for één farmers' cake
450g mix for farmers' cake, 250g butter, 4 eggs, possibly 20g lemon zest.

Procedure
1. Bring all ingredients to room temperature.
2. Preheat the convection oven to 150°C.
3. Grease the cake tin well with butter or Brand New Cake baking spray.
4. Place the butter in a mixing bowl and swirl until smooth, but not fluffy.
5. Add the mix for farmhouse cake, eggs and lemon zest and swirl for 2-4 minutes. Mix the batter until a smooth mixture forms.
6. Spoon the batter into the cake tin.
7. Bake the cake in the oven for about 55 minutes until golden brown. To check whether the cake is done, prick it with a skewer. Will no batter stick to the skewer? Then the cake is ready!
8. Let the cake cool in the baking tin. Then remove the cake from the tin and let it cool further.

Sugar, wheat flour, wheat starch, soy flour, raising agent (E450(i), E500), emulsifier (E471), wheat gluten, flavouring, thickener (E415), colouring agent (E101(i)). May contain sports of egg, milk and nuts.
