    RUF Landlust Black Forest 365 g

    With the RUF Landlust Black Forest baking mix, you can make a traditional cake classic with a distinctive flavour. The moist chocolate base is enhanced with fine dark chocolate shavings, which add an intense cocoa flavour to both the dough and the decoration. Combined with the fruity cherry filling and a light cream layer, the result is a harmonious composition with a typical Black Forest character. The carefully balanced recipe guarantees authentic enjoyment and an appealing appearance.

    Whether for birthdays, festive occasions or as a highlight on the coffee table, this cake impresses with its balanced combination of chocolate, cherry and cream. Developed in cooperation with Landlust, the baking mix combines traditional recipe ideas with reliable success. A classic moment of enjoyment that delights in every season.

    Preparation

    1. Prepare the dough: Preheat the oven to 170 °C top/bottom heat or 150 °C fan oven. Mix the baking mix, soft butter or margarine and eggs for approx. 3 minutes until creamy. Pour into a springform pan (Ø 26 cm) lined with baking paper and bake on the lower rack for 20–25 minutes.
    2. Prepare the base: Cut the cooled base in half. Place a cake ring around the bottom half and soak with 15 ml of cherry brandy or cherry juice.
    3. Prepare the cherry filling: Drain the cherries and collect the juice. Mix the powder with a little juice, bring the remaining juice to the boil, stir in the mixed powder and bring to the boil again. Fold in the cherries and spread on the bottom layer. Place the second layer on top, soak it as well and chill for approx. 1 hour.
    4. Decorate: Whip the cream until stiff, sprinkle in the cream stabiliser and spread on the cake. Decorate with dark chocolate shavings and chill until ready to serve.
