    Ingredients

    Wright’s Orange Cake Mix 500 g
    Simply add water and oil, mix, then pour the batter into your prepared tin.

    The mix is equally suited to cupcakes and muffins.

    Preparation:
    You’ll need 500 g of Wright’s Orange Cake Mix, 200 ml water and 60 ml vegetable oil.

    Baking by hand:

    1. Combine the water and oil in a mixing bowl, then stir in the cake mix until evenly incorporated. Beat with an electric mixer for 1 minute, or by hand with a whisk for 2 minutes, until the batter is smooth.
    2. Pour the batter into a greased or lined 900 g (approximately 2 lb) cake tin.
    Bake in a preheated oven for 50–60 minutes at 160–180°C (140–160°C for fan ovens, gas mark 4).
    4. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for 10–15 minutes.

    Baking in a bread machine:

    1. Add the water and oil to the bread machine, then pour in the cake mix. Select the cake setting and press start.
    When the cake cycle ends, let the cake rest in the machine for 10–15 minutes.
    When the cycle ends, allow the cake to rest in the tin for 10–15 minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack.
