    With the BrandNewCake Red Velvet Cake Mix 2.5 kg (gluten-free), you can serve a delicious red velvet cake that is both tasty and gluten-free. This mix provides a moist, well-seasoned base that you can fill, frost, and decorate to suit any occasion.

    Makes one 18–20 cm Red Velvet Cake.
    Requirements:
    400 g BrandNewCake Red Velvet Cake Mix
    140 g softened butter
    200 g eggs (about 3–4 large)

    You’ll also need a hand mixer, a mixing bowl and an 18–20 cm (7–8 inch) cake tin.

    For a lactose-free version, simply replace the butter with 140 g of vegetable oil.

    Method:

    1. Preheat the oven to 170°C (fan oven 160°C) and grease the cake tin.

    2. Place the cake mix in a mixing bowl, then add the softened butter and eggs.

    3. Beat the batter on medium speed for about 5 minutes.

    4. Pour the batter into the prepared tin.

    5. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
