Brand New Cake Isomalt Granules 250 grams
Isomalt (E953) is an extensive sweetener. Extensive sweeteners are slightly less or as sweet as sugar. Isomalt has 50% sweetening power of granulated sugar and is suitable for sugar pouring, pulling, blowing and decorations. Spinning sugar is the same as isomalt.
How to use
Heat in a suitable container in the microwave or a pan to 180° C until it melts. You can now work it into silicone moulds or mould it further.
Brand New Cake Isomalt colours
You can also colour the Isomalt. This is best done with this colour powders from Brand New Cake. You make this with small amount of water, at 130°C add the colouring. Then continue cooking the isomalt until 170°C. At that temperature, you have the right percentage of moisture in the isomalt for a workpiece that does not get sticky.
