    Molen de Hoop Speculaas & Pepernoten Mix 500gr        
    Make your own delicious speculaas dollops and pepper or spiced nuts, with Molen de Hoop's mix. To the Molen de Hoop speculaas mix you only have to add butter and egg, how easy can it be!

    Recipe for speculaas(pop)
    500 grams of speculaas mix, 200 grams of butter or margarine and 1/2 beaten egg. 

    Procedure speculaas(pop)
    1. Knead the speculaas mix and the butter/margarine well together. Then add half the egg to this. 
    2. Now store the dough in the fridge for 1 or 2 days. This makes the dough even tastier, the flavours will come out better. 
    3. Preheat the oven to 160°C (hot air oven 145°C and gas oven setting: 3.5). 
    4. Roll out the dough into a slice. 
    5. You can slide the dough into the oven in one big slice, cut out biscuits with a biscuit cutter or you can use a speculoos board. If you use a board you should dust it with some rice flour or cornstarch first. Then press the dough in, cutting off the excess with a very thin wire. Then turn the board over onto a baking tray covered with baking paper. Do not put the board in the oven. Place the baking tray in a preheated oven for 30 minutes (thick speculaas. for a thin speculaas the baking time is 20 minutes. 

    Recipe for pepernoten
    500 grams of speculaas mix, 125 grams of butter or margarine and 1 beaten egg. 

    Procedure for pepper nuts
    1. Knead the speculaas mix and the butter/margarine well together. Then add the egg to this. 
    2. Now store the dough in the fridge for 1 or 2 days. This makes the dough even tastier, the flavours will come out better. 
    3. Preheat the oven to 160°C (hot-air oven 145°C, gas oven setting: 3.5)
    4. Turn small balls of the dough and place them on a baking tray covered with baking paper. 
    5. Place the baking tray in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes. 

    About Mill De Hoop
    . Mill De Hoop is a high windmill built in 1850 by H.B Meyer and 2 years later it was taken over by the Pijnappel family. As a result, the mill owned by this family for many years.  Since September 2014, Jan and Jan and his wife Henriëtte have run the now grown business Gruttery-Mill "De Hoop" Oud-Zevenaar to the current operators: Frits and Maaike Botter. Frits is the miller and keeps the records, while Maaike runs the gruttery and handles the purchasing of luxury and gift items arranges. It's hard work, but fortunately for the family it feels more like a hobby. Together, they make sure the mill keeps running.

    Molen de Hoop supplies raw materials, such as flour and flour but also high-quality bread mixes and cake mixes. It is therefore not surprising that these products are very popular among hobby and home bakers who order from Baktotaal.

    Ingredients
    Wheat flour, sugar, spices, raising agent(E500, E503), baker's salt, stabiliser(E339), enzymes, Tarrow malt flour, herbs and spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, ginger, coriander, mace, cardamom), colouring agent(E150a). This product is produced in a facility that also processes gluten-containing cereals, nuts, sesame seeds and milk.
