    Description:
Before using your baking tin for the first time, rinse it with hot water only—no detergent. Dry it thoroughly with a clean cloth, then apply a very light coat of vegetable oil (rapeseed oil works well) or solid vegetable fat. Finally, place the tin in an oven preheated to 200°C for about an hour to create a protective coating that prevents baked goods from sticking. Before each use, lightly grease the pan with vegetable oil or margarine. After baking, if needed, wash with hot water (no detergent), dry thoroughly, then apply a thin coat of oil and store in a dry place. For best results, simply buff the pan with a piece of kitchen paper or a soft cloth; this leaves a light protective film.

Allow baked goods to cool briefly in the tin, then transfer them to a rack to prevent condensation that can lead to rust. Never wash the tin in the dishwasher. The tin’s appearance will darken and patina over time, adding character without affecting performance. Should light oxidation appear, gently scrub it with a soft scourer, re-season, and continue baking.
