With the ProFroster, you will make your cakes smooth to perfection. As you can adjust the length of the ProFroster, it is suitable for cakes of all different heights. Ideal for wedding cakes, themed cakes and so on!

    Maximum height: 20cm

    How to use:

Start with a nice straight cut sponge cake or cake in layers (if necessary, cut bulge from centre of your cake). Fill your cake. Hold the Profroster against your cake to see if it's 90 degrees everywhere and measure if you come out with the height.

Now you can use the Profroster to fill your cake.

Now you can press the filling down if necessary or just fill it a bit more to come out without a too thick layer on the top. Put a first layer on your cake (crumb coat) and chill for at least 30 minutes (the longer the better) to create a hard surface the better).

Moisten the sides and top with a very generous buttercream or ganache (don't worry, you'll take most of it off again). Make sure that the buttercream or ganache goes well over the edge of the cake all the way around.

Set the upright (the vertical part) of the ProFroster firmly against the board under your cake - do NOT use cardboard - and measure where the top bar should go.
Set the top bar at the right height and click the pins in place.

Hold the ProFroster without moving your hand with it and rotate your cake (NOT the ProFroster) on a sturdy turntable. Hold it UNDER on the thickening!
Should you still have holes left after the first time, put some buttercream or ganache on it and turn/scrape again. You may have to repeat this a few times to make sure all the holes are filled. If you 'pull' the buttercream or ganache along, your cake is not cold enough or your ganache is too thick or your buttercream too thin/soft.
Go over the top again with a spatula/palette knife if any holes or streaks have appeared on the top.
