    With the RUF Marble Cake Baking Mix 151 g, you can bake a classic sponge cake with a typical marble pattern and moist consistency. The combination of light vanilla dough and dark chocolate dough ensures a harmonious taste experience and an attractive appearance. The chocolate glaze covers the entire surface of the cake, rounding off its appearance and taste and giving it a shiny, chocolatey finish.

    Whether for Sunday coffee, birthdays or as a sweet treat in between meals, this marble cake impresses with its light texture and characteristic pattern. The spiral marbling creates the typical look, while the glaze adds the finishing touch to the cake.

    Preparation temperature
    Top and bottom heat: 175 °C
    Fan oven: 160 °C
    Baking time: approx. 55–60 minutes

    Preparation

    1. Prepare the
    dough Preheat the oven to 160 °C fan oven or 175 °C top/bottom heat. Mix the baking mix and additives for the light dough in a bowl and beat with a mixer on the highest setting for approx. 3 minutes until creamy.

    2. Bake the dough Grease
    and flour a loaf tin (25 cm). Pour in 2/3 (approx. 500 g) of the light dough. Stir approx. 1 tbsp milk into the cocoa mixture and fold into the remaining dough, then spread on top of the light dough. Use a fork to create a marbled effect on both layers of dough. Bake in the lower third of the oven. After 15 minutes, make a 1 cm deep cut in the centre and bake for another 40–45 minutes. Use a wooden skewer to check whether the cake is cooked through.

    3. Cool and glaze Remove
    the cake from the tin after 10 minutes and leave to cool on a wire rack. Bring water to the boil in a saucepan, remove from the heat and add the glaze bag for approx. 5 minutes until the glaze has melted. Knead the bag, cut off the corner and spread the glaze over the cake with a brush or spoon.
