Molen de Hoop Almond flour 250gr
Almond flour is made from ground white almonds. White almonds are created by blanching the almonds. Blanching briefly boils the almonds in water, removing the brown skin of the almond.
Almond flour is rich in fibre, minerals and vitamins. It is naturally gluten-free and low in carbohydrates. Almond flour is excellent to combine with other flours for a delicious texture. The flour is good to use for making almond paste, biscuits and various types of cakes.
Recipe Almond paste
150 g almond flour, 100 or 150 g sugar (as desired), ± 30 g beaten egg and juice of 1/2 lemon or some lemon zest.
Procedure
Knead everything well together and put it packed in the fridge. This way you can store the almond paste for several weeks. The almond paste can easily be made a few days in advance, it will be even tastier!
