Couverture melting bowl, made of impact-resistant plastic with stainless steel removable melting bowl and lid, equipped with adjustable thermostat. The capacity of the melting pot is 3.6 litres.
Emportant hint:
A melting pan is mainly intended to keep chocolate at the right temperature (temporarily) during or before processing.
Melting chocolate in a melting pan can be done, but, depending on the amount to be melted, it usually takes several hours.
If you want to melt chocolate quickly, it is much quicker to do so in the microwave for small quantities and au bain marie (not too hot!) for larger quantities where the chocolate is kept in constant motion.
If you want to work with chocolate and still melt it in the melting trough, set the melting trough to 45°C, for example, the evening before and the chocolate will be ready to temper the next morning.
