Koopmans Mushroom Cake Mix 220g
Whether you’re baking with children or simply treating yourself, the process is quick and fun. The mix produces tender cakes that you can frost and decorate to resemble the iconic red-and-white spotted mushrooms loved by garden gnomes. Each box includes cake mix, icing mix, baking tins and decorations. Serve them as a special treat or an everyday snack.
Recipe: 2 eggs, 50 g butter, 1 tablespoon water.
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with the included moulds. Cream the butter in a mixing bowl until soft and smooth. Add the cake mix and eggs all at once. Mix on the lowest setting for about 30 seconds until you have a smooth batter (do not overbeat). Line a baking tray with the included cases, spacing them about 3–5 cm apart. Fill each case almost to the top with the batter using two small tablespoons, leaving a 5 mm rim. Bake in the centre of the oven for 13–18 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool completely on a wire rack. To finish, combine the icing mix with 1 tablespoon of water and stir until smooth and thick. Using the back of a spoon, spread a thin layer of icing over each cake, then immediately add the white dots to create the mushroom effect.

Cake MixIngredients: WHEAT FLOUR, sugar, corn starch, raising agents (E341, E575, E500), modified starch, skimmed MILK POWDER, rice starch, natural flavourings (contains MILK), emulsifier.
Ingredients for the icing mix: sugar, MILK SUGAR, modified starch, maltodextrin, colouring agent (beetroot concentrate), colourings (carotenes, riboflavin), natural vanilla flavouring, acidity regulator (citric acid).
