The recipe for Crunchy Rosettes (Swedish biscuits)
Needs:
2 eggs
50 millilitres of milk
50 grams of sifted flour
Flavoured oil
Powdered sugar to taste
A baking tray lined with kitchen paper or baking sheet
Procedure:
Whisk together the eggs, milk, flour and icing sugar.
Keep beating until you have a smooth batter.
Then let the batter rest for half an hour.
Heat the oil in a small, deep pan to 185 degrees Celsius.
Stir the batter again.
Heat the rosette iron, by dipping it into the hot oil.
Lift the iron out of the oil and shake off the excess oil.
Then immediately dip the iron into the batter. Please note!Do not dip too deeply into the batter.
Dip the iron into the hot oil.
As soon as the batter pulls, carefully remove the iron from the rosette.
Let the rosette slide back into the oil.
Remove the rosette from the oil when it is light brown and place it on the lined baking tray.
Repeat the above steps until the batter is used up.
