Hendi Fire Paste Tin 200 grams 72 pcs. This natural ethanol formula, thickened with water and a food-safe gelling agent, produces a solid fuel that’s easy to control. It has been made deliberately bitter to prevent accidental ingestion. For safe, efficient heating, always use a dedicated fuel-paste holder. The heat output remains consistent across the full range, and you can adjust the intensity by simply opening the lid of the holder to create a larger or smaller flame. All Hendi chafing-dish fuel pastes burn soot- and odour-free. Cartridges or cans used without a holder will become extremely hot and can cause burns, so always place them in the chafing-dish fuel holder. These fuel-paste holders are included with Hendi chafing dishes and are also available separately. Always read the product instructions before use, keep open flames or hot objects away from the fuel paste, and never allow water or condensation to enter the can while it is burning. The fuel gives off flammable vapour, so keep it away from water or condensation—even a few drops can cause sputtering or splashing. Always light the fuel after you’ve set the holder in its final, stable position. The flame is nearly invisible blue, so handle with care. Extinguish the flame only by closing the lid of the fuel holder.
Refilling: Let both the can and the holder cool completely before handling. Remove the can from the holder before refilling. Always store fuel in closed containers, in a dark, well-ventilated space below 20 °C. For larger storage quantities, always check local regulations.
What to do if a small fire starts: Smother the flames with a fire blanket (or a large, wet blanket) to cut off oxygen. If clothing or skin catches fire, wrap yourself in a fire blanket or use a powder or CO2 extinguisher—never a small towel, as this can spread the flames. After extinguishing, cool the affected area for 15 minutes or until medical help arrives, leaving clothing in place, and seek professional care without delay.
Each 200 g tin fuels a chafing dish for about 3 hours.
