German Wheat Flour Type 812 1kg is a light bread flour with a higher ash content than Type 550, resulting in a fuller flavour and a light brown colour. This flour combines the lightness of white flour with the characteristic flavour of wholemeal.

Ideal for baking (sourdough) bread, rustic loaves and multigrain breads. Think of flatbread, sourdough bread or hearty rolls. Also suitable for savoury baked goods such as focaccia and quiches. In addition, you can use this flour for pancakes and waffles, where it adds extra flavour and a slightly firmer texture.

Type 812 lies between plain flour and wholemeal flour and is comparable to French T80. Ideal when you want more flavour and character, without your baked goods becoming too heavy.
