This delicious American classic is coming to Benelux more and more often, and with this mix from the Dawn brand, it is also very easy to make. The mix's red colour comes from the concentrate of beetroot and carrots, making it dazzling. The creamy cake is often topped off with a delicious layer of cream cheese or buttercream. It's safe to say it's a delicious treat for a birthday or just because you feel really fancy. To finish your cake off, you can decorate it with some cake crumbs if you like, which gives a stunning effect. Order quickly and bake!

Recipe for Red Velvet Cream Cake Ø 26-28 cm
500 g mix, 175 g liquid egg (approx. 3 eggs), 150 g vegetable oil, 110 g water.

Preparing in the oven
1. Preheat the oven to 170°C (hot-air oven, top and bottom heat)
2. Add the mix and egg to a bowl and beat with a mixer on a low setting for one minute.
3. Scrape down the batter and mix for three minutes on the medium setting.
4. Add the oil and water and mix for two minutes on low setting.
5. Bake the cake in the middle of the preheated oven for about 25 minutes.
