Damco Complete Cake Mix 20 kg
This complete mix from Damco is intended for the preparation of canoe dough, slippers, apple pie, etc.
Below is the recipe for a delicious apple pie:
Ingredients
2,000 g Damco cake base and biscuit mix
500 g butter or margarine
200 g egg
For the filling:
approx. 800 g apple
approx. 100 g yellow cream powder
100 g cinnamon sugar
Method:
Mix all the ingredients in a mixer with a dough hook until a smooth dough forms. Stop as soon as the dough has formed. Kneading for too long will result in a stiffer texture.
For the apple filling:
Mix the cinnamon sugar with the apples and then mix in the cream powder. This ensures good binding and an extra delicious flavour. Of course, you can make the filling even more delicious by adding raisins or nuts, for example.
Roll out the dough to a thickness of 4 mm. Line the tart tin or springform pan with the dough, covering 2/3 of the edge.
Spread the apple filling to the top of the pastry edge. Cover with a 2 mm thick sheet of pastry as desired (e.g. in attractive strips) and brush with egg.
Bake the apple pie for approx. 50 minutes (oven temperature approx. 190°C).
Instructions:
Place all ingredients in the bowl in the order listed. Mix into a smooth dough. Stop the machine as soon as the dough is formed, as mixing for too long will make the dough stiffer.
Recipe for slippers:
1200 grams of complete canoe powder
475 grams butter
125 grams of fine sugar
30 grams whole egg
60 grams water
Storage advice: store in a cool, dry place (15-20°C)
