Originally from Milan, a panettone is a luxurious, airy bread filled with sugar, sultanas and candied fruit. In Milan, they eat this bread mainly during Christmas, but is also often served with sweet hot drinks or a sweet wine. You can bake other breads in this baking tin, it does not have to be panettone.
