    Product information

    Cake tin Blue steel 26x11cm
This traditional cake tin is made of blue steel. This cake tin does not have a non-stick coating but forms naturally with proper use.

    Dimensions:
    Length on top: 26cm
    Length on bottom: 23.5cm
    Width on top: 11cm
    Width on bottom: 7.5cm
    Height: 7cm

    Description:
Before using your baking tin for the first time, rinse it with hot water without detergent. Then dry it with a clean, dry cloth and grease the mould very lightly with vegetable oil (rapeseed preferably) or vegetable fat and let it bake in the oven at 200°C. for about an hour. This creates a coating that protects the steel and prevents the baked product from sticking.

Before use, always grease lightly with vegetable oil or margarine.

After use, if necessary, clean with hot water without detergent and dry well, then grease lightly and store in a dry place.
Better still: polish with a piece of kitchen paper or a rag (this way the mould remains a little greasy) and store in a dry place.

Do not let your bread or cakes cool in the mould to prevent condensation (causing rust)  on the inside of the mould.

Do not clean the baking mould in the dishwasher.
The appearance of the mould will change with use, this makes it unique, but does not change the baking properties.
If, despite all your care, a slight oxidation deposit forms on (part of) the mould, you can remove it with a pan sponge, lightly grease again and use.
