    Brand New Cake Sugar Dress Paste White 200 g
    Also known as Sugar Lace, Edible Lace or Sugar Veil, this elastic sugar paste can be prepared from scratch or enjoyed in convenient ready-to-use form.

    Sugar Dress Paste colours
    You can easily tint the paste with a small amount of colour gel, or dust the dried lace with colour spray or an airbrush.

    Brand New Cake Sugar Dress
    In addition to the neutral version, Brand New Cake offers pre-coloured Sugar Dress in gold, silver, ruby, black and mother-of-pearl, so you can skip the colouring step altogether. The range includes both a 200 g jar and a larger 500 g jar .

    How to use
    Spread the elastic paste in a dedicated mould, template or mat, then let it dry. It will dry at room temperature in about 6–8 hours, or in a warm oven at 80°C for 30–35 minutes. The paste shrinks slightly during drying, so we recommend topping it up once by spreading another thin layer of paste over it. This will give you a stronger end result.

    The resulting flexible sugar sheet is perfect for elegantly decorating cakes, tarts, and other pastries.

    Preparation method for 100 g of Sugar Dress elastic sugar paste
    1. Pour approximately 38 ml of water into a mixing bowl.
    2. Add 4 tablespoons (about 50 g) of the liquid component.
    3. Mix on low speed for 2 minutes.
    4. Add 12 g of the powder component and combine thoroughly.
    Mix on medium speed for 5–10 minutes until the mixture is homogeneous, smooth, and free of lumps.
    6. Pour the smooth batter into your prepared mould and use a palette knife to spread it evenly.
    7. Store any leftover mixture in an airtight container in the refrigerator and use it within 7 days.
    8. Let the sugar paste dry in the mould at room temperature for 6–8 hours, or place it in an oven at 80°C for 10–12 minutes. Any extra paste keeps in the refrigerator for about 7 days.

    Once dry, invert the mould, gently lift a corner with a palette knife, and carefully peel the Sugar Dress away.
