About Meike Schaling
Meike Schaling was a girl who wanted to become a pastry chef. She followed her heart and left for Paris to learn the real pastry craft. She also worked in a starred restaurant there. In 2006, she opened her own patisserie in Paris and in 2013, she and someone else opened the business: Petit Gâteau in Amsterdam. French Cakes, Small and Big is not Meike's first book. Among others, she has also already released: “more little tarts”, “little tarts” and “little savoury tarts”.
